Down by the sea

May 10, 2009

Happy Mother’s Day to all my mom friends!! I hope you all had a wonderful day! We celebrated Mother’s Day yesterday and headed down to the Jersey Shore for some family fun. With it hovering in the 80’s on Saturday, it was the perfect day to stroll the boardwalk, hit some rides, run after seagulls, put our feet in the ocean waves and even indulge in some ultra-yummy milkshakes at Bobby’s Burger Palace, which is a cool burger joint owned by Bobby Flay.

I love the shore. What a nice way to spend mother’s day. Vanessa is on her way to Balboa and I took the kids to the beach/pool. Yah I said no to the kindle2. I told Dominic he needs to save his money over there for essentials not to buy stuff for us back here. Besides really, me with a Kindle. I can’t even read a 1/4 of the books I have in a lifetime. You are just as bad I’m sure. I would probably be the first person to go bankrupt from having gotten thousands of dollars in debt because of this device. Beside Vanessa saw the e-mail and said I should definitely get this. Translation, get one so I can download books too. And who might pay for that. He tried to get my an IPod but since I only listen to talk radio while walking I don’t really need one. I think I am stuck in my ways. I hate new technology. Maybe it’s just trying to use new technology I hate. PS Never get the Kindle2, just remember Leah is a reader and I am sure she would love you to have this a few years from now. Don’t forget Maya either. Geeze 3 girls in the house + one Kindle2=nothing but trouble.
