Once Upon a Time III

March 20, 2009

It’s that time of year again! First day of spring brings a dusting of snow to my New Jersey neighborhood and to the book blogging community the Once Upon a Time III Challenge hosted by Carl V.! I’ve been stockpiling books to read for this year’s challenge for over a month and am so excited to get reading!

I’m going to participate in the “Quest the First” challenge, which is to read five books that fit somewhere within the Once Upon a Time III criteria. They might all be fantasy, or folklore, or fairy tales, or mythology…or your five books might be a combination from the four genres.

A few of these titles were on my list during last year’s challenge (which I never ended up reading) and two of them are “new to me” books.

Godmother, The Secret Cinderella Story
A Wrinkle in Time
The Stolen Child

Once Upon a Marigold
Book of a Thousand Days

Thanks again Carl for hosting such a fun challenge. I am so excited about getting started!

If you too would like to participate in the Once Upon a Time III challenge, just stop by here to sign up.

I’ve never heard of Once Upon a Marigold, but the name alone has me enchanted, so I can’t wait to hear what you think of it. Have fun!

I read the Stolen Child Last Year and really enjoyed it. A Wrinkle in Time is a classic that I haven’t read since I was a kid. Hmm. Maybe I will have to re-read it. I am looking forward to your reviews.

That sounds like a fun list! I’ve only read A Wrinkle in Time of those, and heard of Godmother: The Secret Cinderella Story only today. They all sound intruiging, though! (*chants “I shall not look them up yet”*)
