All you have to do is click (or watch)!

The Breast Cancer SiteEach day during the month of September, stop by The Breast Cancer Site and click on the big pink “Click Here to Give – it’s FREE!” button to help fund free mammograms for women in need — low-income, inner-city and minority women whose awareness of breast cancer and opportunity for help is often limited. Your click is paid for by site sponsors, and mammogram funding is provided to clinics throughout the U.S. through the efforts of the National Breast Cancer Foundation.

Why is this so important? Well, according to the American Cancer Society, early detection is key. As copied from their website – “Most doctors feel that early detection tests for breast cancer save many thousands of lives each year, and that many more lives could be saved if even more women and their health care providers took advantage of these tests. Following the American Cancer Society’s guidelines for the early detection of breast cancer improves the chances that breast cancer can be diagnosed at an early stage and treated successfully.”

Stand Up To CancerIf you want to do more to fight Cancer, make sure to check out Stand Up 2 Cancer, a huge national televised event on ABC, NBC and CBS this Friday, September 5th at 8 p.m. to raise money for research. It will be chock full of celebrities and hopefully will be successful in helping eradicate such a terrible disease.
