Knit Two coming soon & a giveaway!

Knit TwoSeeing a pattern doesn’t mean you know how to put it all together. Take baby steps: don’t focus on the folks whose skills are far beyond your own. When you’re new to something—or you haven’t tried it in a while—it can feel impossibly hard to get it right. Every misstep feels like a reason to quit. You envy everyone else who seems to know what they’re doing. What keeps you going? The belief that one day you’ll also be like that: Elegant. Capable. Confident. Experienced. And you can be. All you need now is enthusiasm. A little bravery. And—always—a sense of humor.

On November 25th, Knit Two, the sequel to the #1 New York Times bestselling book The Friday Night Knitting Club (you can see my review here) will be out in hardcover. I’ve got a really great giveaway to celebrate this new book (see below), but if you can’t wait that long to find out more about Knit Two, then take a peek below (warning - mild spoilers about The Friday Night Knitting Club below, so if you haven’t read the first book, well then what are you waiting for)?

Knit Two
returns to the Manhattan knitting store Walker and Daughter five years after the death of its owner, Georgia Walker. Georgia’s daughter Dakota is now an eighteen-year-old freshman at NYU, running the store part-time with the help of the members of the Friday Night Knitting Club. Drawn together by their love for Dakota and the sense of family the club provides, all the knitters are struggling with new challenges.

Kate Jacobs once again keys into many of the stresses and joys of being mother, wife, daughter, and friend. Knit Two is a true love letter to the power of women’s friendships and, of course, knitting.

Interested in winning a copy? Well, if you leave a comment on this post, you will be automatically entered to win one of FIVE ARC copies of Knit Two!For a better chance, post about this contest on your own blog (linking back to this post) and your name will be entered a second time in the drawing! You have until 12 noon on Monday, November 17th to enter, so be quick! Winners will be contacted via e-mail on 11/18, so be sure to leave a valid e-mail address in your comment. Thanks!
